The park's bustling schedule includes the CSI4* Canadian Premier, running from May 20 to 24, followed by the Odlum Brown BC Open from May 26 to 31.
Nations Cup Highlight of Busy May Schedule
Chris Pack, the president and CEO of Thunderbird Show Park, described the upcoming events as the venue's busiest and most popular tournaments. He confirmed that all entry spots are completely filled, with competitors traveling from across the globe. A significant highlight will be the CSIO4* Nations Cup, scheduled for May 31. This event will feature teams from Canada, the United States, Mexico, Ireland, and Australia. Pack emphasized the importance of this competition, stating, "This is the first Nations Cup, so team event of the calendar year for Equine Canada. They always want to try to be as competitive as they can on home soil."
Canadian Talent on Display
The competition roster is expected to include some of Canada's most accomplished equestrian athletes. Canadian show jumping legend Ian Millar will serve as Canada's chef d'équipe, guiding a team that is anticipated to feature Olympians and seasoned international riders such as Tiffany Foster, Nicole Walker, and Amy Millar. The Nations Cup holds particular significance this year as it serves as a crucial warm-up for the World Equestrian Games, scheduled for later in the summer. Pack noted the extra importance riders place on performing well in these lead-up events.
